Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. has again been selected as the Real Estate Litigation Department of the Year: 2020 by The New York Law Journal. This is the second time Rosenberg & Estis has been recognized for this achievement, first winning the award in 2018.
Since 1975, Rosenberg & Estis has handled New York’s most complex real estate issues and represented the industry’s leading developers, lenders, owners and real estate groups, including REBNY and the Rent Stabilization Association. Rosenberg & Estis has secured several high-profile litigation results this year, permanently impacting the real estate industry, including the New York State Court of Appeals ruling that Part F of the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 may not be applied retroactively to rent overcharge cases. The firm also secured a major court victory against Amazon on behalf of The Durst Organization, obtained a unanimous dismissal of a multi-million-dollar damages claim, won a critical rent overcharge case, and numerous other matters with industry-wide significance.
