Rosenberg & Estis, P.C., New York City’s leading boutique real estate law firm, has announced that Steven R. Goldberg, Jolie E. Meer, Jean S. Tom, and Meredith A. Ullman have been promoted from Associates to Of Counsel with the firm.

Steven R. Goldberg joined Rosenberg & Estis in 2012 as an Associate in the firm’s transactional department. His practice involves all aspects of commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, development matters and real estate financings for lenders and borrowers, including preferred equity and mortgage and mezzanine loan transactions. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School in 2005.

Jolie E. Meer joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2007 and practices in the area of commercial real estate transactional law, with a focus on commercial leasing, acquisitions and financings. She received her J.D. from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2005, and was the executive director of the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution.

Jean S. Tom joined the firm in 2000 and practices in the transactional/leasing department, where she represents clients in the acquisition, disposition, leasing, licensing and financing of commercial and residential properties and related assets. She also handles all types of real estate lending transactions and has extensive experience representing real estate owners in the negotiation of telecommunication agreements for rooftop space in both office and residential properties. She received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2000.

Meredith A. Ullman joined Rosenberg & Estis’ administrative law group in 2003 and specializes in rent regulatory issues involving rent stabilization and rent control. She represents property owners before the New York State Division of Housing and Community Renewal and New York State Courts, involving claims of rent overcharge, reductions in required apartment and building-wide services, lease violations complaints and major capital improvements rent increases. She also represents prospective buyers and lenders in performing due diligence prior to the acquisition of properties containing rent regulated apartments. She received her J.D. from Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in 2003.
