Peter B. Kane joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2018 and is a Member with the firm's Litigation Department.

As a strategic advisor and trusted partner to clients, Peter's practice involves complex commercial litigation spanning all facets of New York City real estate. Peter represents developers, landlords and property managers in both commercial and residential cases, with a specific focus on complex commercial lease disputes, partnership and joint venture disputes and landlord-tenant disputes. Peter also has extensive experience handling condominium and cooperative related cases, advising both Boards and individual shareholders and owners concerning their obligations under the law and relevant statutes. Peter's practice also encompasses matters concerning rent control, rent stabilization and other residential rent regulatory issues.

Peter regularly represents his clients in all New York State and Federal Courts, including the New York Supreme Court, Commercial Division, the Appellate Division, First and Second Departments and the US District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. In addition, Peter maintains an active ADR practice where he represents clients in both mediations and arbitrations in front of both the American Arbitration Association and JAMS on a regular basis concerning a broad range of real estate matters.

Peter has been published in several periodicals including Real Estate Weekly and Law360 and continues to be recognized as a top practitioner in real estate litigation as a New York Super Lawyer.

Peter's legal career began as an Appellate Court Attorney with the State of New York Supreme Court, Appellate Term, First Judicial Department. Prior to joining Rosenberg & Estis, Peter was an Associate with Robinson Brog Leinwand Greene Genovese & Gluck P.C.

Peter graduated from Tufts University (cum laude) with his Bachelor of Arts Degree in History in 2007 and earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 2010.
