The New York City Department of Finance has extended the FAIRER Amnesty Program until March 20, 2022.
As previously advised, if you have unpaid ECB judgments that are eligible under the Program, you may be able to save up to 75% of the current fine amounts and have other penalties and interests waived, depending upon the type of judgment and when it was docketed. The program requires some violations to be certified corrected and approved by the City first, before a user can avail themselves of the reduced fines–all of which must all be done by March 20, 2022.
Therefore, it is important to move quickly since there may be delays in the City processing and approving the necessary prerequisite paperwork in order to take advantage of the reduced fines for many violations under the program.
