Commercial Litigation Attorney

$220,000 $250,000

Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. seeks a Commercial Litigation Associate with a minimum of 5 years of complex commercial litigation experience, preferably involving real estate-related matters and construction law disputes.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in various stages of litigation, including:

  • Drafting and arguing motions
  • Taking and defending depositions
  • Managing discovery, including document production and review in e-discovery platforms
  • Preparing witnesses for hearings, trials, and arbitrations
  • Participating in trials or evidentiary hearings
  • Negotiating settlements and client resolutions

Candidates should posess:

  • Strong research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of New York civil procedure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • The ability to manage multiple matters in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Actual compensation will be dependent upon a number of factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and location.

Zoning Attorney

Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. is seeking an associate with a minimum of three years of experience to join its nationally recognized Land Use and Zoning Practice in New York City.

Our attorneys represent developers, property owners, institutional clients and investors in some of New York City's most significant development projects. Much of the practice's work involves zoning analysis, due diligence, development rights transactions, and ongoing advisory work on how the Zoning Resolution and related regulations apply to specific sites and development programs.

  • Conducting zoning analysis and due diligence
  • Handling development rights transactions
  • Advising clients on how the Zoning Resolution and related regulations apply to specific sites and development programs
  • Handling discretionary land use approvals, including rezonings, special permits, variances, and environmental review
  • Managing landmark matters before the New York City Planning Commission, Board of Standards and Appeals, City Council and other governmental agencies

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least three years of private practice and/or government experience
  • Experience interpreting and applying the New York City Zoning Resolution and related land use, environmental and regulatory laws
  • Experience conducting zoning due diligence and preparing zoning analyses
  • Experience advising clients on development-related matters
  • Experience with zoning and land use applications is strongly preferred
