NYC Affordable Housing Summit

Daniel M. Bernstein moderated the “Affordable Financing and Regulation Strategy” panel at BISNOW’s NYC Affordable Housing Summit. The panel included speakers Pamela West (Nuveen), David Walsh (JP Morgan Chase), Kyle Kolesar (KeyBank) and Robert Riggs (CPC). Before a packed audience at the NY Bar Association, the panel addressed questions like, What impact will an economic slowdown have on affordable financing? Do the changes to NYS Rent Laws mean that rents cannot increase significantly and so Article XI tax exemption projects may be less likely to receive HPD support and approval? What are the effects of Rent Law changes on loan sizing, cap rate and other financing issues?

Audience engagement was at an all-time high – the event duration was extended due to the overwhelming number of questions received during the panels, including Daniel’s.
