Dear Clients,

As you know, the Housing Stability and Tenant Protection Act of 2019 (“HSTPA”) makes dramatic changes to the various statutes governing rent regulated housing, including the Emergency Tenant Protection Act (“ETPA”), the Rent Stabilization Law (“RSL”), and the rent control law.

Click here for a summary of some of the most important changes to the rent regulatory provisions.

These summaries are not intended to be complete recitations of every change in the law. Instead, they highlight the changes we believe to be most important. The HSTPA is made up of 15 different PARTS (PART A through PART O), each addressing a different subject. The table on the first page of the rent regulatory summary indicates which subject is covered by each PART. Please click here for copy of the HSTPA.

These memoranda include the provisions of the amended HSTPA. Of course, if you have any questions, please call us and we will be happy to explain any provision in more detail.

Sincerely,

Rosenberg & Estis, P.C.
