Bension D. DeFunis joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2017 and is of counsel with the firm's Litigation Department. Mr. DeFunis represents a broad clientele, from individuals and small businesses to Fortune 500 companies in complex commercial and real estate litigation matters in state, federal, and appellate courts. Mr. DeFunis' practice involves a wide range of matters including, contract disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, commercial landlord/tenant matters, insurance coverage disputes, and employment matters. Mr. DeFunis has also represented individuals and entities, in connection with investigations and proceedings brought by various state and federal government enforcement agencies.

In addition, Mr. DeFunis has extensive experience representing real estate owners and developers in all aspects of their leasing transactions, including negotiating and drafting leases, lease amendments, and lease workouts.

Mr. DeFunis received his bachelor's degree, with distinction in Economics, from the University of Washington, Seattle, and his J.D. from Cornell Law School, where he was an articles editor for the Cornell Journal of Law and Public Policy and a John M. Olin Student Scholar in Law and Economics.
