Who We Are
Rosenberg & Estis can trace its roots to rent regulation and administrative law. Founded in 1975, R&E began as a law firm that focused on assisting landlords of regulated residential housing in the outer boroughs deal with New York's exceptionally complex rent control and rent stabilization laws.
The interpretation, application and appeal of administrative agency regulations and rulings — is crucial to property owners, developers, and buyers and sellers of real estate in New York, for both residential rental properties and other projects. We perform due diligence for buyers, sellers and lenders at the onset of real estate projects, as well as provide reliable counsel on rent control and stabilization issues, raising rents to cover major capital improvements, complying with subsidized housing program rules, working with tax benefit programs and overcoming zoning challenges.
