Marc A. Rogovin joined Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2014 as an associate with the firm's Litigation Department.  Mr. Rogovin’s practice involves complex commercial and real estate litigation.  Mr. Rogovin has extensive experience representing lenders and special servicers in commercial mortgage foreclosure proceedings in New York and Nassau Counties, and has negotiated with borrowers, tenants, receivers, referees, junior lienholders, and their counsel in connection with those actions. Mr. Rogovin has also represented clients targeted for investigation by regulatory agencies that include Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Department of Justice and the Securities and Exchange Commission.

·         Lenders and special servicers in commercial mortgage foreclosure actions involving loans in excess of $100 million.

·         A property owner in action to terminate management agreement and evict licensee from four garages in high profile Manhattan buildings.
Commercial landlords in actions against tenants and their ownership for breach of lease, unauthorized assignment of lease and fraudulent conveyance of assets.

·         A homeowner in pursuing claims against general contractor and sub-contractors for breach of contract and negligence arising from defective home improvement work.

·         A private equity firm in an injunctive action concerning proprietary loan-valuation software.

·         A television broadcaster in action for breach of advertising sales representation agreement.

 

Mr. Rogovin received a bachelor's degree in political science from Yale University and his J.D. from Hofstra University School of Law.  Mr. Rogovin is a member of the New York State Bar Association and is licensed to practice law in New York.  Mr. Rogovin completed the National Institute of Trial Advocacy's Building Trial Skills Program in 2010.


Prior to joining Rosenberg & Estis, Mr. Rogovin served as an associate with K&L Gates LLP and Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP.
