Eric S. Orenstein

Eric Orenstein joined the New York City law firm of Rosenberg & Estis, P.C. in 2005. He became a partner with the firm in January 2012. Since 2005, Orenstein has been involved in many aspects of the firm's transactional real estate practice.

One focus of his practice has been representing lenders and borrowers in financing transactions and workouts of loans on troubled assets. He has handled nearly 200 loan transactions totaling almost $1 billion, over a recent two-year period. Orenstein has been working closely with lenders and borrowers on creative solutions to restructure loans and rework the debt on troubled real estate assets, often avoiding the lengthy and costly foreclosure and bankruptcy process.

He currently represents owners and developers of commercial properties in the tri-state New York area providing his legal expertise in all aspects of real estate including leasing, development, financing and purchase and sale transactions.

Orenstein's close interaction with his clients and assistance in evaluating his clients' deals from their inception has allowed him to develop an understanding of all the issues concerning commercial real estate from both a legal and business prospective. His experience provides him with the ability to protect his clients' interests while achieving their goals.

Orenstein received his bachelor's degree from Binghamton University, a State University of New York and his juris doctorate from Hofstra School of Law. He is licensed to practice law in New York and New Jersey.
