Ari Aranda
Ari Aranda is an associate in the firm's Transactional group. He represents real estate owners and managers in a variety of commercial real estate transactions and financings. He has assisted on matters including acquisition, construction, permanent and mezzanine loans; single and multiple property sales and acquisitions; 1031 tax deferred exchanges; acquisitions and refinancings of distressed properties; transactions involving not-for-profit corporations; leasing of office and retail space; and matters relating to ground leases, construction contracts and management agreements.
Mr. Aranda was a member of the Rosenberg & Estis team involved in the redevelopment of 1 World Trade Center, assisting in representing The Durst Organization Inc. in a joint venture with The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. In 2010, he assisted in the representation of the ground lease owner in the $1.3 billion permanent Liberty Bond and CMBS debt financing of Bank of America Tower at One Bryant Park, Manhattan.
Mr. Aranda graduated from Brooklyn Law School, magna cum laude, in 2008, and was admitted to practice in New York in 2009. He was a Notes & Comments Editor for the Brooklyn Law Review, for which he published a note entitled "The Supreme Court's Post-9/11 War on Terror Jurisprudence: Special Considerations, Threshold Determinations & Anticipatory Review," 73 BROOK. L. REV. 645 (2008). He served as a part-time student clerk for the Honorable Jack B. Weinstein of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
